The splendid sea, special islands and natural hot springs

The Gulf of Naples is embellished by the islands of Capri, Ischia and Procida, that form a line along the coast between the two outer towns of Sorrento and Pozzuoli; known all over the world for their charming panoramas, nature and cultural characteristics, with nothing else like them in the world. Their landscapes are all different thanks to their geological origins: Capri is a rocky spur that broke off from Sorrento peninsula in prehistoric times while Ischia and Procida both came about from the intense volcanic activities of Campi Flegrei. To enjoy this holiday in the best way possible, we will use Ischia as our base, also known as the “Green Island” for its abundant vegetation, thanks to its rich soil and constant mild climate. We will travel around on foot from here to discover the natural and historic beauties that characterize these islands, getting glimpses of unique and amazing views. Ischia is dominated by Monte Epomeo, an extinct volcano with numerous scattered small craters which were active in prehistoric times. Today, there are traces remaining of various hot springs and fumaroles found on the coastlines and on the bottom of the sea, thanks to the island’s volcanic origins, and ancient remains from the Greek and Roman periods can be found as well. There will also be time to explore Capri, whose magic can be felt by simply going there when the last rays of sunlight paint the Faraglioni sea stacks. From Monte Solaro we’ll see the amazing views of the entire island, Sorrento and of the entire golf. It’s not by chance that a few Roman emperors governed their territories from this island.

Capri, Monte Solaro with its breathtaking views of the golf and the Faraglioni sea stacks, Ischia with Monte Epomeo, its craters and hot and thermal springs. The tastes and exquisiteness of Neapolitan cuisine.
